A small number of Londoners criticize with some good reason that their city is luxurious, expensive, filthy & overcrowded. The really wealthy, however appear not to mind. For 23 of the world’s elite club of dollar billionaires live in the British capital. Forbes listed 793$ billionaires.

The unexpected figure makes London the ‘unchallenged magnet’ for the super rich. No other city holds such enchanting power over those who can live in the deluxe style anywhere they can choose. New York has 34 in the billionaire set but the majority of these are American-born, according to research by Forbes magazine. London by contrast has the international crowd & most of the handful of home grown billionaires such as Sir Richard Branson were born hundred of miles away.
Paul Maidment, the report’s author said: “Many cities strive for the title of the World’s capital. But London still create a center of attention which tends the magnetism of attraction to the elite of the world’s rich & successful.” Politicians & civil servant are not corrupt,” he added. “The courts work. Property rights are protected. There are well-designed shops, luxurious private clubs & excellent schools for the children. All expensive enough to keep the riff-raff at bay.” Another attraction of the capital for wealthy foreigners is that they do not pay much tax. Mike War Burton, of accountants Grand Thornton, said: ” The UK is a tax haven & long may that remain. It has helped to attract in a great deal of wealth & enterprise.”
